Holy Books and movies Batman...
So, I've finished reading:
Heck: Where the Bad Kids Go. Having a hard time deciding what to give it on Amazon's 5 star rating system. Think I'll settle on 4. Great story idea... just felt like a little something was wrong or missing. Maybe because it started out slow then about the time you're really into to the story it's ending. I'll get the sequel next year to see how it goes, I'm hopeful that it can become a good series... We'll see.
Batman: A Death in the Family. This one gets 4 stars too. It'd be 5 but I hate comics that date themselves. I hate the old old school Superman ones for similar reasons, I do mean old old school, like they bash the Japanese because it was socially acceptable then. Dating themselves some is ok... but including actual world figures in a comic is never a good idea for future reading. So yeah that and if it had a darker art style then it'd have been 5 stars. Older Superman and Batman comic were too colourful -- like to the point of being cheery, even ones that should have been darker styles.
Batman: The Killing Joke. 5 stars + if I could. Now there's a comic done right. heh. Art and story = wow. The end made me go "Uh, huh?" but I think that was the point.
Oooh just pre-ordered: The Dark Knight (Two-Disc Special Edition + Digital Copy) for me and Wall-E (Three-Disc Special Edition + Digital Copy)
for Brian because Amazon has them cheap. w00t!
