Personal medical news and my city...
Another long post, sorry...
My health...
Ok first the personal medical news... That is what my devoted stalkers are waiting for, no? Remember the you'll never get a definite diagnosis without a brain biopsy talk? Well for once, my body decided to cooperate. I shocked them all -- my spinal tap combined with MRI gave them enough to diagnose me after all. Yes, because of the Sarcoid it should be virtually impossible to tell if I have Neurosarcoid or MS... but between my MRI and spinal tap they now have NO doubts and I am officially diagnosed with MS. It wasn't a coin toss apparently. Even though things can overlap they all agreed, I have MS. But I also wasn't kidding about being a bleeder. When she asked me how I've been, I told her I'd been in pain all week and I figured it was because he kept getting blood during the tap. She told me yeah, that some of my spinal fluid they tested had blood in it.
I can still see her in the normal neuro clinic for the migraines and may see her in the MS clinic, but she's gonna move my primary clinic to be the MS clinic. She told me it will be better for me as it's specialized and that clinic sees more like 30 patients a day whereas the general neuro clinic sees maybe 100, but she hopes to see me again. She likes me and Brian :) She also told me how to work it out so I have less wait times... muhahah! She also warned me not to get scared because I'll see a lot more people in wheelchairs, etc because the MS clinic has a lot of people who are sicker than the normal neuro clinic. And just for my own sanity, since my tests and seem to show nothing current I asked her to confirm or deny then what my OR doctors said -- that all of these symptoms like tingles, twitching, etc are all just residuals from old damage/attacks. She said they are as nothing I have now is a current flare up or new damage.
Now...
My City...
Harbor UCLA is in Torrance. The grey there is worse. The air is unbreathable. The smell... You shouldn't be out in it. I'll be staying in the rest of the week. So sad out there... not even near the fires... just wow. Even the safe from fires part of my city has skies that look like they belong in a disaster movie. Smells no one should smell.
Ohhh and to top it off, when leaving... The entrance road to Emergency Room is blocked off by these giant orange cones -- more like boxes than cones with HAZMAT on them. And there are police in camo, holding big big big guns that Brian thinks are M-16s (the picture I just looked up = seems about right). I don't know what was going on but that was freaky.
♥ Ik hou van jullie allemaal ♥
