Teeth, Gas / 99 rant, 4 minutes

My teeth & swollen face:
First they asked if my mouth hurt, I said no, they asked me to open wide so I did and they were satisfied as all they found as what we already knew -- I have a filling on that side we have scheduled (dental work is flipping expensive, can't do it all at once - a filling costs only 1/2 of what a cap does... wtf?  little drop of white stuff basically melted onto your tooth should cost a lot less than basically a full tooth cover), but then asked me what happened to my face.  I looked at them funny and said I had some sinus problems lately, but they're pretty normal for me.  They basically said ahh that would explain it then and explained they were worried as my cheek area looked swollen so they thought it could be tooth probs but they didn't see anything.  I hadn't even realized it had my cheek swollen, just knew I felt sinus pressure and headache.  There is about 50% less pressure feeling when I touch my cheek today vs yesterday so I think it's fading fast.

I got my perm cap, hopefully it really is perm (well you know, doesn't break or fall apart in some disaster real fast like the first temp anyway) Supposedly these caps are designed to hold up and can take a beating for awhile, we'll see. I did also get a mouth guard for when I sleep, I only have little thread snipping scissors, so need to get scissors tomorrow before I can fit it right.  I can't kill a perm cap with one night of teeth grinding without a guard, I hope.

Gas Prices:
$4 a gallon predicted eh?  It's here.  Well... sort of.  $3.99 9/10 a gallon in the heart of Santa Monica.  Keep in mind I'm certain it's not that high in our part of LA (even though I live so close to Santa Monica it's airport is two lights from my house).  But the heart of downtown Santa Monica is a different story.  It's lots of shopping.  It's tourists.  It's near the beach.  I hear sometimes it's celebs.  It's street performers.  It's traffic so bad you could run out of gas trying to get through town.  So they can get away with charging you $4 $3.99 9/10 before everyone else because there's not a lot of gas stations and probably lots of demand.  And really why the 9/10th of a cent.  Just as bad as everything costing something.99 and worse than that houses.  We drive by these new condos a lot.  The banner says $699,999 and $799,999... why?  Why not 700k and 800k?  Who do they think they're fooling?  Add the price of say a soda and it's a 700k or 800k house.  Do you think I'm dumb enough to be like ohh a condo in the 600k range because you dropped $1 off?

4 Minutes:
We've only got 4 minutes to save the world... That line, only that line from that Madonna song is stuck in my head.  Probably because it's on some commercial, dunno what for, never seen it just hear it on tv and never look up.   But it makes me ask dumb questions like how do you know you have 4 minutes to do it?  Even the heroes in comic books take a good 3-4 issues to save the world.   TV shows give the heroes a good half hour or hour.  Movies give them 2 hours!  Why do you only get 4 minutes?  Are you really going to get a 4 minute warning?  And if so why are you singing about it for around 4 minutes, guess you didn't care about saving the world then if you had 4 minutes and used that time to sing about it eh?  Ahh so many questions!

This is the latest I've been up in awhile, sleepy... Nervous after that first time I slept with temp cap on though, heh.  I know perm cap should work out better just... that first experience with temp cap made me nervous.
