I got Muppet Show Season One DVD as a late Christmas present and we started to watch it last night. Brian the 3d graphic guru who knows how they do most fx in movies didn't know how they did everything in the Muppet Show until we turned on commentary.
Finally plugged in the external HD. Moved some stuff to it, made sure it was there and good... and backed up on space Brian gave me on his comp too and deleted it from the laptop. w00t! Friggin windows can stop yelling at me via annoying pop up things about what a loser I am and how I need to clear up some room or else! 8 gig free on laptop. Something like 60 free on external drive. I happy.
Lots of time spent stalking Mijn Favoriet and T tonight.
Still sick. Bought cold medicine.
That is all.
Beyond Reality Radio - God Part of the Brain. It's about an hour and 20 minutes, so I wouldn't go listen unless you've got some time to kill or while playing online anyway. The first part is them chatting with a guy who explains why he believes that religion is hard wired into our brains (including his reasons for why some are atheists) and the second part is them explaining why so many paranormal claims can be explained away as normal occurrences and not paranormal at all. They used the term wonky in regards to vision issues! w00t! When my nervous system goes bezerk and causes my vision issues, I find wonky is the only word I can find to explain it ;)
Sadly we're done with Season 2 part 1 of GhostHunters. We have to find the second set for season 2, it seems to be sold out and/or pulled from shelves due to bad audio (we have to have them replace out set 1 from season 2 as it is).
Now for those of you who haven't seen Ghosthunters, I'd describe most on screen members of TAPS as skeptical believers. They believe but also realize there's a lot of claims out there that can be explained as normal. That's why we love them, unlike shows like *cough*Most Haunted*cough* they come off as serious and willing to question their own findings. Well... I happen to <3 The Queen Mary, I've been on it twice, once as a kid and once as an adult. Imagine my delight when, one the set we have, they went to Queen Mary (and Winchester house which I want to go to).
UGH. Brian and I are both pissed that someone tried to manipulate their investigation at Queen Mary. The more time that passed after we watched it, the madder Brian got. TAPS takes claims seriously and tries to find only legit evidence to then explain or say we couldn't find a reason for it. So to have people mess with their equipment to try to get them false "evidence" is sickening. I agree with Brian's theory on who did it. Never did have a good feeling about that person anyway. Still... argh.
Early Presents for me:
While at Best Buy so that Brian could
buy himself a memory card for his phone, he told me to pick out a tv
show or a couple of movies so I'd have an actual Christmas present (my
new/used laptop was technically my present but I got that awhile ago).
I wanted Kids in the Hall. They didn't have it. I ended up with:
Superboy, because the only Superman tv show I've seen is Smallville. They didn't have Lois & Clark and I was worried I'd need alcohol to watch the old Superman tv show.
Pinky and the Brain, because hello it's Pinky and the Brain! DUH. A must see for anyone planning to take over the world.
F00D:
I got tri-tip
instead of steaks. I LOVE Tri-Tip. I wonder why... notice the mention
of Santa Maria on the wikipedia link! Growing up there meant every
few corners on the busiest street had charities that would BBQ it up
every decent weekend, and hello California = lots of decent weekends.
It was something we only did once in awhile but was always a YaY
weekend when you got to go get the tri-tip BBQ. They would cook
chicken too, but no one ever got chicken.
So my holiday will be a Superboy and/or Pinky and the Brain marathon. I think tomorrow night I want to watch Bad Santa though *nods*
♥ Ik hou van jullie allemaal ♥
