I'm such a Dutchie wannabe that even the graffiti on the shopping cart waiting for us at Vons knew it! Yeah, I know, Von Dutch, but they didn't put it after Vons or cross off the s on Vons so... heh. I must admit the other graffiti looks a bit different in the picture taken out in the sunlight than it did when we really tried to read it and paid attention to it in the store. In the store it looked pretty clear and to me looked like 25 ick. Brian thought it was 2Sick and that the fact the S was a 5 was a "stylistic choice". Great, l33t graffiti.
Since Mijn Favoriet and I seem to exchange cheesy games that we find now and then, I'm sharing with you all his latest find: Snot Put. I tossed the snot 3656m. w00t!
My day = slept, sent Meneer Bot voice spam, banned some cheaters on MM (love ones that announce on irc to everyone they're cheating), talked to Mijn Favoriet briefly and Meneer Bot longer, worked on Misi's mail - decided it wasn't right and started over so it's looking better now, and had to stay up til now (9 am) to be sure Brian got up to make a deadline after he slept for 2 hours. I think Brian's got about 8 hours of sleep total this week maybe. He's going to be sleeping lots once this gets turned in, which is fine as I'm HOPING I can crash now. Then it'll be coffffffffffeeeee night instead of day I think as we both need sleep. zzzzzzzzzzz.
Tonight we watched The King of Kong because Brian's friend got a free copy as he knows the director or something. Gotta be honest, wasn't sure I wanted to watch it with him. A documentary about game geeks trying to beat the Donkey Kong high score is umm... yeah. But there's a few good lines and it ends up being two guys against each other. I actually ended up disliking one of them from the beginning. Brian thought I was being a bit unfair to him until later in the movie, when he decided the guy was a jerk too. He's actually impressed the guy made me announce "he's the biggest jerk-off I've seen in ages". He'd never heard me call anyone a jerk-off before. But if anyone deserves to make me break out the name jerk-off randomly, it's that guy. What an arrogant ass... he made me grrr a lot. Brian actually saw some of the Office character Michael Scott in him, I disagree, there's actually something amusing about Michael Scott. I'll actually probably check back at Twin Galaxies, if I remember, to see if the good guy is on top or not as time goes on, because even in geeky video game contests good should beat ev0l!
Vote for a city to end up on the new Monopoly game
Power of The Letter - We will be watching John Adams in my household and you should too... They're giving away a free card (real paper cards, not e-cards) with postage for people who go to that site to encourage people to send real letters, in the tradition of John Adams. I don't think I'm eligible to enter the contest to win a trip to Colonial Williamsburg and even if I was technically eligible it would be inappropriate for me to enter, but you guys can!
Fellow politic geeks rejoice, it's Super Tuesday!
We went and saw Sweeney Todd this past weekend. I loved it. Brian "I'm never going to another musical anything again". He actually seemed to like part of the story and didn't mind Johnny Depp singing, he just felt it was more of a musical that Hairspray was with less reason to be (I reminded him it started as a musical in the theater but he didn't care).
Some bad dentist news, but being the paranoid person I am it wasn't as bad as I thought. Still I get to go back a few times and get to have my first ever root canal... Should be thrilling :/
I've started playing apparitions, because well I love the Ghosthunters guys and am on a break from my normal game thanks to some drama I don't need there (though I'm staff, so still logging in for that aspect and to hopefully watch some truly pathetic humans self destruct).
Between game drama / worrying my T was gonna leave it and irc (which would mean leave me) and our grocery shopping and watching some 1 cent Christmas show dvd (Silver Spoons, Married With Children, and News Radio Christmas specials) etc I totally spaced my shot tonight. They came on Saturday. I did one Saturday night. Erm I will do it tomorrow, really. It's been a year plus since I was on them. Not in the habit of stabbing myself with a needle again.
My brother liked the digital painting anyway. Guess he didn't know I was crafty. He keeps up so well :P
~ Smallville was new and I liked it = good.
~ Headache = not good.
~ Headache not being a migraine anymore = good.
~ Only skimming friends lists while playing with painting programs and/or headachey = bad friend.
~ Friends used to no comments from me + holiday busy season for most = no one will notice.
~ Mijn Favoriet and Bender got the cards and liked them = good.
~ Ego from cards being seen as good even though Brian did the shading which is what made them look pro = good.
~ Compliments on MM story from players who don't "rite lyk dis" = good.
~ People going crazy on MM so I have to write another big story = ok but I'm on strike if they have another war in the game before Christmas.
~ Can't remember if I said it before but cards from Tiggs and Misi arrived = thankie :)
I'm done with my post full of sentences with an = sign in them, but I'm sure this trend will be back someday!
zzzzzzzzzz
PS - I have a Dutchie cat in my lap, trying to get extra attention by sticking her paw straight up towards my face with claws OUT. eeeeeeeeek! It looks sooo cute the way she does it, but claws showing, she's clearly dangerous! If you don't hear from me in the next few days either she or pain alien have done me in! *mental note to self related to pain alien - reorder anti-seizure and migraine meds to pick up this weekend or will be out by end of weekend*
Good:
Made the phone call. They needed my info. They're calling my neuro to verify prescription. Once they have that they'll call me to set up shipment.
Bad:
Won't get into it. But there was plenty of worry and stress tonight.
Meaningless:
Beat Mario Galaxy tonight. Well, saved the princess. There's a lot more I can still do. Worked on art. And now, I'm tired
And in Mario geeky goodness, they had the guy who does the voice of Mario record a message, which Brian got as a voicemail Sunday. It started with his real name and voice and went into a "But you may know me better as Mario" thing in the Mario voice. Reminding us to pick up the game Monday. Brian was so excited he got to go to work yesterday saying he had a celeb packed weekend -- he saw R2D2 and got a call from Mario. heh.
