Brian finally slept lots.
I slept but not well, nerve pain woke me up. Sucked. So I kept going back to sleep and ending "sleeping" on and off from around 11 am until 6something pm.
Brian got up at 8:something and asked if I wanted to go to Apple store with him. Hmm... out of soy milk and coffee. yeah! So went and got coffee first. Went to Santa Monica. The parking garage we went to claimed to have 98 available spaces on the digital board outside, no it had about 2 :P Which we found once we got to the 9th floor. It's undergoing construction though maybe they don't update it to show the blocked off spaces. Brian got his laptop case (Apple stores have the coolest checkout system, or at least the one in the Santa Monica Promenade does, never shopped at another) and we went to leave and weren't sure what to do. Wish I'd taken a picture. Even my broken brain couldn't MAKE THIS UP... get to the end of the parking row. The sign in front of us says no right turns exit left. The sight above says no left turns exit right. *blinks* I mean I GUESS we could have gone straight through the brick wall of the 9th floor and seen what happened. Brian looked at the signs and me, I looked at them and him. WTF? I'm sure it's a goof from the major construction going on and one old sign got left while they redirect traffic a new way. But umm we basically waited for cars to come out to see what direction other exiting traffic went in so you know we wouldn't hit someone head on.
So we finally get out of there and the next parking garage says 200some space free. Ok now I know those signs are cruel jokes. Have you ever been to downtown Santa Monica near the Promenade / Pier on a Saturday night? 200 some free spaces, uhh funny. There are not 200 free spaces in all of Santa Monica let alone one garage. Liars. Brian "What happens if you get a ticket to park, drive through, no spots? You pay $3 for the ride?".
Uhh I'm rambling and pain alien here. Away I go.
I got Brian a My Name is Earl "I've done some bad things" shirt. It was on clearance back hmm I think at Christmas of last year. It's become his lucky shirt. If he wears it to work when things aren't going so well they suddenly turn around. It works so well that he decided to wear it to work yesterday because they were facing working Saturday and Sunday and the shirt had come up in chat the day before. Things went so well yesterday they MIGHT not have to work Saturday. He'll know tonight. But his whole team wants a shirt that no longer is for sale and Brian wants extras so he can wear it more often. I can't even find it on eBay and he seriously wants it. I told him take a picture and make an iron on :P
In other news, my host switched my site to a newer server so I can redo my site using wordpress as I <3 wordpress. Somehow I managed to import most of my Gallery from my old server to a new server, parts of it are broken but that's ok, it was a different version of Gallery and not installed on that server so I didn't think it'd work at all, the fact that it imported anything seemed like a miracle.
Sent mom a moo gift certificate as I've won a free mini card holder (don't know what kind, they're so new they're not on their site yet), 15% off mini cards, free note cards, and free greeting cards in their online egg hunt (which is over today, two weeks of daily web egg searching ending, boo!). She wanted mini cards, so I figured with all I won I'd spend some money on their site and give her the note cards too as I surely don't need note cards and greeting cards both, but the greeting cards will be cool, I'll have to make some art before the coupon expires 10 greeting cards using my own pics... hmm Brian's bday is in May, will have to create something for him.
I get to stay up to wait for my shots to be delivered and my head is still not great. Week long headaches are not my friend. I make rambling posts when I am in pain. I also noticed about 20 times I typed the wrong word and later fixed it so if this post is still a mess, I blame pain alien.
Had the root canal. Took longer than they thought as it was complicated because it was a longer root than they thought or something. They said usually it's the back teeth that take longer as they have more roots, but sometimes these front teeth do have longer ones, as mine did. So they couldn't do the mold today. Two more appointments. One to shave the tooth down / get the mold. Then two weeks after that to put the permanent cap on.
I did figure out something odd about me and dentists though. Drills and all of that doesn't bother me. The things that bother me are the bigger non tools that don't really do anything that important. You know the bigger plastic tubes types of tools like suction tubes, those I hate. The drills make noise, drill into your teeth, etc you're supposed to hate those, but they're small and they numb me enough I don't care about those. But big tubes in my mouth I'm not a fan of. When she was just doing the root canal I was fine. But when it got the filling part of it which is almost like a filling, with the water tubes, suction, etc, all of the tubes in my mouth, I hated it. I'm weird.
Then again, I hate tubes being in my mouth so badly, that when I had my lung biopsy and had a choice between the camera + whatever going down my nose or in my mouth I chose nose. Which in the end was far more painful than the scope I had done in my mouth in the past for my gall bladder. And while I never want another scope done again, if I had to choose, I would still chose nose because it hurts more in the end but there's no gagging on a tube in your mouth :P Hmm actually I wonder if it hurt more because it was in my nose or because the one in my mouth was just a scope but the one in my nose was a biopsy? So that means they had to bring up a piece of lung through my nose then? I never thought of that before now. Ewwwwwww.
Anyway 7 days of antibiotics and 5 days of prescription strength ibruprophen which is a bonus, not much pain so far, but hey been having killer not totally worthy of migraine med headaches for days now and that's what I used to take for that! In fact when I see neuro in July might ask for that again if I keep getting these not full on migraines but bad headaches more often.
Pain is not my friend. The good news is that pain alien mostly isn't in my head, the bad news is that he's in most every other inch of my body. OUCHIE!
Also mom heard from her doctor, all they'd tell her over the phone without an appointment was that it was inconclusive. Which leads us to believe they're leaning towards MS. I THINK maybe stroke damage is more easy to identify on an MRI than MS, which a lot of places won't diagnose without a spinal tap and/or a history or MRIs to review. But we won't know for sure until mom can see the doctor and she's not in the mood to go see the doctor to find out "we don't know" so I told her find out if they can at least start prescribing you meds for your symptoms as she'll go in if they'll HELP her :P Guess I see her point, why pay $20 to hear we don't know when she already heard that and can't afford more tests at the moment, but still they know what they can rule out and what to consider, she should at least hear THAT... They did tell her she won't be dropping dead, so that's good :)
You know if it weren't for the internet, who knows where I'd be. I woke up at 5 friggin AM crying out in pain from leg neuropathy. This first happened when I was a teenager. My family doctor then chalked it up to a fluke she couldn't explain as only pregnant women get woken up with severe leg pain and I'd not even had sex yet so it clearly wasn't THAT! She said if it happened again to come back, it didn't until I was in my 20s. It's happened a handful of times hough I have "neuropathy" pain (tingles, etc) often this is way way beyond that. This is if I were a loud person not afraid to wake the neighbors I'd scream a nice horror movie scream, as it is, I woke up Brian. He thought it was a leg cramp so suggested I stand up and walk it off or whatever. We were both too asleep for me to remind him it's not muscles and oh yeah I can't MOVE.
So I looked up Neuropathy stuff again and found this stuff on Sciatica. Hmm I've vaguely heard of that before, so my question is how did my doctor not know to consider that when I was a teen? My symptoms fit it to a tee. And hey systemic diseases can be the cause and since I have lesions on my spine and MS is a systemic disease and my knee IS weak enough they've done x-rays and found no causes, it's probably all related. DUH! Of course I already knew it was "neuropathy" because when I was diagnosed the first time my doctor said if I looked back I'd find MS related stuff going back to my teen years likely, etc. And that was the only thing that stood out.
Thanks internet, you've made me smarter than some of my old doctors. Still, since it's so rare I'll probably forget to ask the neuro when I go to my next appointment in July.
Anyway, I went back to sleep until noon and have been a zombie all day between pain and just not sleeping well. Ugh. But tomorrow is possibly the last Clinton / Obama debate so w00t!

I'm done with my post full of sentences with an = sign in them, but I'm sure this trend will be back someday!
zzzzzzzzzz
PS - I have a Dutchie cat in my lap, trying to get extra attention by sticking her paw straight up towards my face with claws OUT. eeeeeeeeek! It looks sooo cute the way she does it, but claws showing, she's clearly dangerous! If you don't hear from me in the next few days either she or pain alien have done me in! *mental note to self related to pain alien - reorder anti-seizure and migraine meds to pick up this weekend or will be out by end of weekend*
Time to send toys to kids stuck in the hospital at Christmas time! Go on, you know you want to! No kid should be in a hospital at Christmas without cool stuff! And parents have enough to worry about. So go buy some kids something! Or you're just a grinch! :P Child's Play
I know, we don't all have money to spend. Personally I have $0.00 of my own money. But, if you do have any money to spare, go on... A movie? A game? Even cheap things like coloring books sometimes end up on those lists (they vary hospital to hospital). Do it for the kids! Brian, he saved for a Christmas charity fund this year, so we're actually putting a fair amount into it + Portland Rescue Mission + NORD :) In fact, I think those kids in the hospital are getting more than everyone else the two of us combined shopped for (unless you count Brian's GPS to himself too).
Shhh don't tell my nephew, he got a $20 present ;) Ok a $35 present, we got it for $20 by shopping online on Thanksgiving Day. Perfect gift for someone who is 6 and currently wants to build robots when he grows up. Not so perfect for mom who picked it up for me at the Portland store, wrapped it, and then had it talk to her from within the wrapped box ;) Needless to say, she's hiding it at Viola's house until Christmas so Keegan doesn't get curious about the robotic voice coming from the stack of presents, heh.
In other news: Pain alien in full effect tonight, even good migraine pill is not enough. Brain not working, kept re-reading this and finding missing words, wrong words, etc so erm if this post is a mess well I tried to fix it. And I got my new ring already and love it. It lays flatter than my old one so I can be artistic and it's not in the way.
Pain sucks.
VOX says my last post was 3 days ago, oops! Oh well, mom knew I was alive anyway *grin*
First, thanks to those who have been voting for Chicken Soup. If you haven't voted yet, there's still a few days left *hint*
Anyway, last few days = pain alien visiting me, and Brian spent the better part of Friday puking... it's been a thrilling weekend. He does seem to be a bit better now, so I suspect it was something he ate and not a more serious cold, as it was a pretty quick recovery. I'm hoping anyway. With my immune system, I don't want to catch whatever he had, he sounded like he belonged in the Exorcist movie.
Today we're going to fill out the NORD application, it came Thursday I think... maybe Wednesday. hmm. Either way, Brian hasn't felt up to dealing with it and I have to include his info. I want to get it done today though as it takes a few weeks to be approved/denied and we'll put it off until next weekend if we don't do it today. Why I'm rushing to get back to stabbing myself with a needle every day I don't know :P
The original Hairspray DVD was sold out at every Best Buy in the west LA area. I had to order it from Amazon, wtf?
Anyone know anything about San Rafael, CA? I don't mean what Wikipedia tells me, I mean the cold hard facts about what it's like to live there.
That is all.
♥ Ik hou van jullie ♥
Head killing me so I took a Relpax. Not helping enough yet. This week is a blech health week. Bad body. Between feeling a little sick. Sinus issues. And now pain alien... not fun. I'm ordering my body to be better behaved next week, we'll see how that works out ;)
My late b-day present from mom arrived. Thank you mom. It's this:
