YaY, new clothes fit

So I'd been tired of my shorts literally trying to fall off in public, yeah shorts -- I live in California and have MS, I don't wanna overheat so wearing actual pants is pretty stupid 99% of the year thanks. In fact even in winter I can pretty much wear shorts then too. We have you to wear need pants days a few days or weeks a year. Well I'm poooooor so I ordered 2 pairs of shorts, a skirt, 2 pairs of capris, all cheap yet cute enough for me to approve of heh ($10 or less each on sale) a size or two smaller than the 2 sizes I have now. I'd tried this size on in the store first and it fit, but I was still nervous as it just fit so I thought well hell maybe I shouldn't order new clothes yet but I should suffer with my clothes falling off and was in between sizes. Nope! I have two pairs of shorts (fit with a little room), a skirt (fits just rightt), and a pair of capris (just fits in waist, roomy everywhere else). The other pair of capris is on back order. Super extensive wardrobe I have of stuff that fits, but at least I have stuff that fits now. Of course the tough part is Lister can look at clothes that appear in bags and get his white fur all over it, so no black :( I ordered tan stuff mostly but the skirt and one pair of capris were only available in red - sure enough I open the bag, lister fur -- the second I set them down. I need an all tan and white wardrobe it seems. He leaves my orange sweatshirt alone too.

Since Brian had his last day at movie A and moving on to his next movie, he gets next week off in between the two. Well I think I'll take week to go through the closet and get rid of all of the clothes that definitely do not fit. I mean if they literally FALL off I've no plans to wear them and will bag them up and stick them in the bin in front of my CVS that is a clothing drive thing for charity. Considering that's most of my clothes, YaY for them, boo for me. Maybe I need to ask for LB gift cards this x-mas.

Random thoughts

If you haven't already joined SocialVibe, do it already. They've added new ways to earns points aka MORE ways to add to the points for your charity aka now you don't just get points by having social vibe banners views on say your MySpace profile or your SocialVibe profile. Now they have one QOTD you can fill out - Points, Change your status - points for that once a day! etc. Come on, how else can you help raise money for charity by sitting back doing nothing?

I've stopped bleaching my hair since it's fried enough. But I do keep dying it orange. So I have dark roots... And the orange only semi takes on what is left of the blonde -- which really only fades to an orange'y blonde now. Therefore when I dye it neon orange it doesn't go neon orange it goes this umm Brian says more like tangerine color and he calls it a gradient ;) Personally I liked it better when I was bleaching and dying and getting ALL OVER so bright it will blind you orange that slowly faded to normal orange. Not that I don't like this but I would think dark roots, gradient orange'y blonde'y tangerine would look umm lazy, ugly, something? Oddly I get stopped a lot more now to be told how cool my hair is. By the young, by the old.. not in a sarcastic hey yeah umm cool hair eye roll way, but in a sincere hey that is some cool hair way. WTF? When we first moved to LA I got stared in a wtf kind of way with solid bright coloured hair more than in PDX more than in small Santa Maria. But now that I am lazy about it and it's weird, people think it's cool. LA is weird after all. w00t!

Sometimes you got to trust yourself, it ain't like anywhere else.... la la la I think it's a Tom Petty night. Beach Volley Ball is on, it's boring, sorry, but it is. Or at least the commentary it is compared to every other sport's commentary. Even when they try to sound excited its like huh? Oh that was important then? Sorry I couldn't tell you didn't sound like that was a big huge WINNING moment, thanks.

Basically I'm just posting random crap because I'm bored and stuck on several art projects! And even Dutchie the cat is being nice and leaving me alone -- odd she's leaving alone while I am stuck and trying to be distracted, when I was busy she was like HI! HI! Wanna cuddle? Wanna play? Am I bothering you? I am? That's nice! HI! Cats are ev0l, cute... but ev0l, they'll take over the world someday I'm sure of it.

Slightly better day

Brian got temp fix for his car until he can find and electrician. The guys at the auto part store and his dad think it's a wire somewhere or something causing the battery to drain as alternator has been tested and is ok. I guess. I dunno cars are beyond me.

So we did go pay my bills, picked up meds, got some groceries. We'd be in trouble in an emergency I tell ya, we buy just barely enough groceries for a week, that was close.

Neighbor told us he found a fix for his plumbing prob that didn't require them going into our wall to access pipe so the maintenance guys won't have to come in tomorrow. Good thing Brian saw him. The maintenance people / landlord didn't update us. So I would have probably decided to stay up all day tomorrow as they're suppose to be here at 9 am... and now it appears they won't be.

That just leaves Thursday -- Housing Dept has to come in to do lead paint tests or something when I will probably be at Neuro. So far best answer seems either A. Leave threatening note on front door explaining DO NOT leave door open and DO NOT let cats out or B. move stinky litter box and food into bedroom and close that door with note saying cats are in there if possible please leave bedroom alone or be careful not to let them out of house, etc.

Dunno... Landlord is good few times they've had to come and I'm sure he'll be here for it with them but who knows how housing dept people will be. We could be home by then as we're gonna go at 8ish but with UCLA we could be home at 11... or not until 2 when getting there at 8 for 9:30 appointment. Maybe should let them in bedroom if landlord is with them he's still not come seen our water damage :/

Oh and why do cats not care if they're gonna fall, unless it's off your lap when you're wearing shorts and it's a short fall? I'm bleeding now and have a scratch around most of my thigh, thanks Dutchie. That cat can fall off the top of the heater which is as tall as I am and not try to grab on to stop it, but from my lap to the floor, dig the claws into skin and slide to the floor.... OUCHIE.

zzz time but wanna see how bad the fire at Universal is... Wanted to go there soon to see the new Simpsons ride. :( The video looks really bad.

Ahh apartment life

I mentioned, earlier this week, my upstairs neighbor has a water heater leak and they'd be out to assess our water damage at some point. You guys can assess it now as they're apparently still working on figuring out what is wrong in his apartment :/ Mom wants me to watch it for molding, you know what with my Sarcoid and MS and overall bad immune system. I'll blame Lister, we always look at him and say "Lister did it" whether something bad happened or not. Some major news event? Lister did it!

And you take the bad...

Bad = cat puking all over your blanket at almost 11 at night when the washer here is broken so rinsing it out in say the tub and letting it dry in the nice cali sun isn't possible. Spot cleaned it best we could. Just, eww.

Also Jury Duty summons for the middle of July, hello... Nope. My MS has had my sleep "schedule" and pain and etc messed up for years. I liked jury duty last time I did it but don't think I can handle it now. So I called to postpone it long enough to get my new neuro to fill out the form getting me out of it, hopefully. If not at least it's postpones until Winter and not the heat of summer when it's all even worse symptom wise.

Shot didn't go so well tonight, not truly bad, but one of the rare times when autoject is blech. I do NOT want to use the needle alone and usually autoject is fast. There are rare days like say twice a year when I must pick a spot it doesn't like and it seems to take 20 minutes for the shot to complete. I said seems... it's really like a minute... but it feel like forever when trying to hold the autoject there waiting and it hurts.

Brain aliens, mostly pain alien have been active over a month now and don't seem to want to go away. They start to then BAM hit me ten times hard, get better, BAM... it sucks. But I'm managing to get some art ideas down and working on some, somehow.

Overall more bad than good... but trying to get some good in today, yay art.

Lister P. Katt doesn't speak English

So Lister has this funny knack for shaking his head at either totally appropriate times or really inappropriate times. It seems to go in phases for awhile his head only shakes to things that should be yes then for awhile he only does it for no.

So just now I asked him tons of questions. No kitty shaking of the head just blank kitty stare. Finally, I go to leave the room but first I ask "Lister don't you speak English?". He quickly shook his head.

Ohh and the Katt spelling is on purpose, I asked Brian how he spells Lister's full name, as I was pretty sure he didn't spell it Cat... I was right, it's spelled Katt after Bucky Katt. Oddly enough Lister kind of looks like Bucky but I'd have to say Dutchie acts more like him while Lister acts like the dog Satchel :P

Nick Hogan in jail, my brain aliens holding me prisoner

News:
Nick Bollea aka Nick Hogan was sentenced to 8 months in jail + 5 years probation + lost his license for 3 years for the accident that left his friend John Graziano brain damaged. Good. He's lucky he didn't kill him or himself. Hopefully he learns something and stops driving like he's on the track when on the road.

Sleep:
Couldn't sleep until 1. Slept til 8 which is good I guess. Hate though hours for sleep but nice amount since I haven't been sleeping straight through and it's only been 5 or 6 hours tops lately. Lister was laying on my chest when I was falling asleep and I pissed him off because my head was some mutant form of pain alien just stabbing in pain almost causing me to twitch when I reacted he looked at me like stop it, I'm trying to sleep here. Rude cat :P

Brian/Plans:
Brian was talking about picking up dinner after work, then after we eat going to a 10 o'clock show of Iron Man. I'm not usually a comic book super hero kind of girl believe it or not. Just ther Superman ones and now SuperGirl and Batman. Still haven't seen Spiderman, Fantastic 4, etc and no interest But Iron Man looks good and well Robert Downey Jr. can usually make even the worst role seem good. But it's 9:40 and Brian still not home from work with dinner so think that will be tomorrow.

We had talked about Disneyland this weekend as they have the 2fer deal going on and it's only good if you use one by the 22nd and Brian wants to force me to see the Whoopi California thing before they remove it for the park makeover (if it's not gone already). So I suspect we'll go next weekend maybe because I'm pretty sure we'll never pay for CA Adventure (unless the makeover is really good, but that will be years from now). And with the 2fer specials we pay for Disneyland and then during the next month can go to CA Adventure once for free.

Hmm so that means this weekend is dentist (1 filling scheduled, still gotta figure out the others), Fry's, Iron Man, refill Topamax, and really finish Misi's mail I hope.

Dunno why my brain aliens are so busy lately. The one that controls sleep is a mess. Pain alien a mess. General brain alien too my thoughts keep getting all muddled up and I type wrong words and yeah... argh.

My Day So Far...

Brian asked me to reschedule my root canal for next Saturday, so I did. He was worried that me coughing up phlegm this morning could be bad news, he was apparently worried I'd cough at a bad time and bite the dentist's finger off, heh... I forgot to ask him why he wasn't worried about what could happen to ME if I coughed at a bad time with a DRILL in my mouth. He was probably worried the dentist would bill him if injured and I wouldn't :P

Managed to get out of robe and into clothes long enough to go get coffee

Came straight home and have been laying around in robe ever since with kitties trying to "take care of me" as I lay curled up crampy, dizzy, and overall blech. Those of you who have kitties probably know, they mean well but their idea of helping or taking care of you is not always so helpful. As Brian put it "I know what it's like to be stalked by the paparazzi, I have cats"

On a positive note it's sprinkling, not raining (we've already gotten something like 3 times the rain we got all of last year). Sprinkling is nice. Pouring rain is not.

So dizzy I can't even follow these political shows! It's not a dizzy like the room is spinning dizzy, it's more erm... ugh wish I would explain, but words fail me so back to being curled up and doing nothing I go.
