Yup it seems everything is abortion now.
I started having my period in 6th grade. As many have pointed out all over the net guess a period is a wasted egg is abortion now. Ohhh what a baby murderer I am. Not to mention those years I spent on the pill and depo -- all of the condoms. Hell I just had a period, oops another chance for a baby I didn't take. Damn I'm going to hell or something.

I should just have a sex change so I can control the world and my body. Brian would be upset though.

RANT TIME...

17 year old decapitated by coaster, Ok so this kid apparently climbed two fences, one was over 6 feet tall to get into a restricted area of the park, areas clearly marked danger, stay out, employees only, etc. And then gets struck by the fast moving Batman coaster. Now I do feel sorry for this kid's family but you know what, sorry, he kind of asked for it and talk about endangering a ton of innocent people. Some speculated he was trying to touch the ride... which would be so beyond stupid I don't even have words and hope that wasn't true. But the latest stories online claim there was another boy with him who wasn't hurt and that he may have been trying to retrieve a hat he lost on the ride... um... uhhh... WOW. So you ignore the danger, stay out signs, climb two fences and walk around under a 50mph speeding coaster that can hit you for a hat. You didn't see the problem with this... TWO of you? That's just about as stupid as wanting to touch the ride, gotta be honest.

Now, I don't usually go on coasters like this one in particular due to my health issues, I'm concerned they'd really mess me up. But I do go on some others (things like say Space Mountain for those of you who know it) they can still be fast, lots of turns, etc. And I know THOSE rides advise you to store things like hats, or other "loose" items so you don't lose them and if you do they ask you to contact employees. Now the truth is, if you lose a hat it's probably just gone. When I wrote recently about my purse breaking at Disney and employees helping Brian to retrieve my lost Christopher Reeve tag, I may or may not have mentioned the bottom of that ride is littered with hats. Either way, you ASK an employee.

Now in the case of the Superman ride that malfunctioned and took a girl's foot -- that's a whole different story, you don't expect that to be a risk, the park is responsible for keeping rides safe, etc. But in this case -- this Batman ride -- OK STOP NAMING THESE RIDES AFTER SUPERHEROES PLEASE.... this kid risked his own life, the lives of the riders, as did his friend apparently. Now his friend has to live with what he saw. Others will have to live with it. The riders of that ride have to live with it. His family has to live with their loss. And it's LUCKY that's all that happened. I'm sure some would say I'm heartless for this one but I feel no sympathy for him... for his family and friends yes. But as someone who goes on rides (as I said not ones like that one but still), it pisses me off he didn't have any consideration for anyone and put them all in danger for a stupid hat if that turns out to be true.

Is it wrong that I laughed? I mean really how hard is it to put on underwear? I can't imagine a situation where underwear are designed so poorly that any way I put them on could cause injury to my EYE.

Go read Insomnia's post about how the AP is sticking it to Bloggers for linking to / quoting their stories.

I posted my prediction there but I'll post it here too...
With so many stories being AP stories this just means that people won't want to quote them or link to them. But you can't forget stories you've seen. So people will start paraphrasing and not credit or linkback. Maybe even search other sources for the stories to credit instead. But so many news sites (even local and smaller sites) use AP stories that I'm betting on the paraphrasing and no credits or links.

We wouldn't want people talking about your stories or visiting your news sites, I mean that'd be GOOD business practices. Even if they're there to question your story, hits are hits, no?

Disney + fireproof apartments

So our 2fer ticket was going to expire during the week, which meant go to Disney CA Adventure this weekend or let it go to waste. This kind of felt like a waste either way because well... if you haven't been there CA adventure SUCKS. Despite having the Disney name it's really just a fair. There's like one ride we like, some over hyped rides, a coaster I haven't braved due to my MS / messed up senses, a Muppet show I LOVE that's hidden in a corner that never seems popular but if you were raised on Muppets like I was well it rocks, and... that's it really. The new Toy Story ride we were excited about isn't opening until the 17th but we decided to go anyway. Good thing we did, they had a sneak preview unannounced before tomorrow's media day and Tuesday's official opening of the ride! The line said 50 minute wait time but between the line and the ride itself we were in and out in about 30. I liked it so much better than the version at Disneyland, it rocked.

BUT.. there was some bad at the park too :( The car ride that makes Brian a bit ill, I had put my purse in the mesh bag they give you for bags so they don't fall out (there's lots of hats etc down in the bottom of the ride). We get out of the ride, walk down the stairs, and I notice the zipper on my purse is just shattered and my Go Forward Superman / Christopher Reeve tag is gone :( Brian went up and that car was just coming back around and the tag was still in the mesh bag so we saved that, YaY! But the zipper on my purse is toasted. Not sure how it got caught on a mesh bag and torn apart when it was a metal piece that's held up for years and I didn't notice. Meh. So we joked that Ed Norton owes me a latte and Disney owes me a purse.

Also... WTF makes a building FIREPROOF? Isn't that like saying HEY ARSONISTS TRY US? Brian thinks it's kind of like the Titanic and their we're the unsinkable ship line. Sadly I saw it on the freeway when we were going 60 mph and I only had my phone can so I stole a pic from Google. I mean, what? Because the building looks as old as LA and is still standing it's fireproof?

Young Apartments

I'm worn out. Brian got a Wall-E toy that's the most annoying thing EVER it's super loud with no volume control. I got a how to draw Mickey Mouse booklet. I'm worn out. It's been a busy month for MS + amusement parks.

So my cell keeps ringing but it's an 800 #, they don't leave voicemail and reverse lookup doesn't find it = I ignore. Brian got sick of it and answered :/ I wish he hadn't because they asked for me and he told them I was here. He gave me the phone instead of saying I wasn't here even though it was some vague "quality assurance" calling at 8:30 pm. They tell me I have a package in the mail because I've made a purchase with my credit card on a "partner website" and will be charged $1 for their discount club or some shit but can cancel when it arrives and if I don't cancel I'll be charged $19.95 a month. WTF? I ask 3 times wait I'm being sent this even though I don't want it? He tells me they don't expect you to want it over the phone that's why they send it to you and there is a number to call to cancel it *blinks* Then he transfers me to a chick who is trying to sell me MORE shit. I hung up on her. Since my THREE times saying I didn't want it didn't cancel it, I'm pissed now I get to wait for their packet to cancel AND get to report them to my CC company because they claim I'll see a $1 charge on my bill for it. Argh. I wonder who their "partner site" is since I really have only shopped at Amazon lately yet they gave the last 4 digits of my cc number when they said what they had on file. This is just bullshit.

If I get charged $30 late fees when my bill never arrives for being ONE day late when I wisely realize wait isn't that bill due, add the late fee and then some on the bill the day I pay it (again one day late), then get charged a shitload of interest on late fees because paying MORE than the late fee was on my payment doesn't count as paying the late fee since they add it to the next bill, the least the CC company can do is make sure that companies can't go around giving out my cc # and letting places charge me "Just $1" to send me shit I don't want and have to cancel after it's sent to me.

*EDIT* I let my CC company know that company won't let you say no, that they tell you no one wants it until after they read the packet so we're sending it anyway, blah blah blah. And that Brian heard me tell them over and over no I don't want it and asking them but you're sending it anyway? Etc. In case 1. they try to charge me the $1 and 2. in case they're doing it to others, because ohh hell yes I'll be canceling when the packet arrives and telling them off when I do, but this can't be legal.

Catchphrases, my friends, are a disease, my friends!

See those worked for those characters... catchphrases belong in sitcoms, mostly ones from the 80s thank you very much. It seems that some words or sets of words are so catchy that everyone wants to turn them into "catchphrases" of their own lately and it's driving me crazy. It's especially bad in news and politics -- I expect this sort of thing in reality tv "what the frig" (I like that one) and "fierce"... ok in reality tv.... but NEWS and POLITICS? You people speak for a living, find new words...

Somehow, ever since Obama was labeled an "elitist", politicians and newscasters have turned the words "elite" and "elitist" into catchphrases. But they missed the memo that only one character can use a catchphrase. He's one of those elitist senators... those elitist policies... many variations of the elite catchphrase exist... They seem to be testing out the elite branding, still looking for the right way to use it. I'm sick of it. EVERY day I hear a word that a few months ago NO ONE used.

Next up "change". Change... I think Obama started the change theme this season. And we all know that when something works the others try to copy it. But copying someone isn't change. Find your own catchphrase. I guess "Talking about Change worked for Obama so I'll do it too" isn't as catchy as just "change" but we're onto you, find a new theme, a phrase all your own that is catchy too, thanks.

Finally, the one that made me want to blow up my tv this morning, "My Friends". That one is all John McCain's and he can flipping keep it. But omfg by head is going to explode. YOU DO NOT NEED TO USE IT IN EVERY #*@)_! sentence!!! I didn't fall asleep til about 10 am. Brian went to go take a shower and get ready for work. McCain speech came on tv, I watched.. and was ready to pull my hair out by the time Brian got out of the shower. I didn't count but I'm sure in the time Brian took a quick shower "My Friends" was heard 839279027 times. So my friends, if we want to change things my friends we need to do something my friends because it's bad my friends and no one my friends knows more my friends than I know my friends about what we're talking about my friends and you know my friends I would never my friends steer you wrong friends because my friends I care my friends about you my friends and what the future holds my friends for you and me my friends............ arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrggggggggggggggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm turning paranoid...

I kept smelling just random smells for no flipping reason, some ok, some good, some stinky. Didn't matter what room I was in. Random. They come and go. I get up, look around trying to find if something around could be causing them. Nothing. Eventually whatever I am smelling goes away. Later again more smells. Then I start feeling sick to my stomach. Feeling dizzy. Giant flash of bright light in vision that then went away, much like the tracers "Aura" for migraines I get but not moving and just one giant one that flashed and went away. Nerves in arms all tingly. Which makes me think it's just a combination of the MS and possibly a mutant migraine trying to work together... whatever, I feel like total crap and shouldn't whine...

Ted Kennedy is having brain surgery today. Somehow my broken brain seems silly to whine about but I just did anyway, so ha because I do feel horrific. Gonna go curl up in bed with puke bowl nearby just in case... think I'll stop being paranoid about smells though, I clearly am just going crazy and am not going to find the causes as there is none. A new MS Brain alien? A cold? WTF? I wish I knew but it hit suddenly and everything online says stuff like sinus infections -- 90% sure not that I'm a pro at those, seizures, brain stuff (MS?), I dunno.... tired.. too many confusing could be this or that pages...

Sleep will probably fix it! zzzzzzzzz, I hope.

Disney is fun BUT... wtf?

We went on everything we wanted to except Indiana Jones (when we went by I guess it had broken down and the chick out front said an hour + at least), The subs (the lines there are basically always an hour + and I couldn't stand out there long), and Splash Mountain (same, hour + lines and stairs = nope was in too much pain for that).

BUT, in addition to the usual won't miss rides (Star Tours, Pirates, Haunted Mansion, etc). this time we did a lot of rides I'd think are where you head with the kids. Ok if my grandparents (who took me to Disney when I was a kid) were still alive I'd be placing phone a call today...Asking if they put me through that! It's been so long since I went on the rides I'd always assumed were kiddie rides (except the Pooh Bear one, went on it the last few times I was there) that I figured why bother, just kid rides... Boy was I wrong.

Holy... Ok Mr. Toad's Wild Ride - What? What? What? uhh... Did the ride end with us in HELL? I think it did!

Alice in Wonderland... Snow White... Man the kid rides are scary, drug induced, WTF? moments if ever I saw them. I'm glad we didn't have time for that part of the park when Keegan was here. Sure Splash Mountain upset him a bit because his "tummy dropped" but these rides would probably have given him nightmares he'd still be having :P I hadn't been on the "kid" stuff since I was a kid... I didn't realize Disney was so scary. Am surprised kids are so happy there. Peter Pan was cool though!

Saw Eeyore this time but we were in line while he was walking around playing drums on garbage cans. Brian "run over there and pull his tail off for me"... !!! I told him to be nice to Eeyore :(

I accidentally made a joke that caused Brian to announce "Too soon". Brian wanted to go on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad well for those of you who don't know, heat affects MS, Anaheim is HOT. At first I thought he was said he wanted to go on the train, that's how with it I was as we'd been talking about riding the train. And I've never been on Big Thunder before. Now as we get near it, I'm asking him what it's like as some of the coaster rides had me a bit jolted ( in fact it was after Big Thunder we hit the Kiddie rides as my body was done with coasters, my shoulder popped in it from being thrown around). So we get there and there's a sign that says something like boomtown and population and numbers and they're crossed off with the numbers getting smaller and smaller. Brian said he wondered what happened to them all. I TOTALLY FORGOT that in 2003 someone died on that ride and said "They went on the ride and never made it out". Brian "too soon". Then something in my brain recalled... "Oh crap, someone died on this one didn't they, I'm about to go on a ride that killed someone and just told that joke, great, I didn't know, I'm sorry". Seriously I'm not a heartless bitch, next time I go there I should check the list on wikipedia first. I was sure the karma gods were gonna get me for that as we got on the ride. I truly felt horrible. Eeek. Just, you don't think of DISNEYLAND as a place where people die.

Brian made the mistake of calling me a doorknob... forgot what HE thought he was saying, but he never heard the "everyone gets a turn" joke and couldn't figure out why I was glaring at him. He felt like a dumbass when I explained it to him..

Now, I'm in a LOT of a pain, everything hurts. I'd still be asleep but Dutchie woke me up when Brian's alarm went off... so I'm gonna curl up in bed and watch tv while I try to recover. I was walking and talking like a drunk... without the alcohol yesterday... ugh.

We're supposed to leave around noon. Been up since ten, still kind of tired, but la la la... waiting for Brian now... So let me just say... I grew up in a decent church (Unity) though I'm not really sure what I think of religion, God, etc now I'm not anti religion, religious people etc UNLESS you're obnoxious and/or hypocritical about it. I have my own mind thanks. The fact I don't go to your church is my own choice made using my own mind. And if there is a God I think he/she will care more about the fact that I was overall a decent person who didn't go around raping, killing people, etc than anything else. He/she won't care that I didn't listen to your spiel.

And when I haven't slept for 24+ hours, and have MS, and am feeling like total crap and just want to make it into Vons to buy some soy milk I don't want you to act pushier than a used car salesman trying to demand I listen to you so you can explain to me why I answer to God. And then when we decide to go give the guy who asks for change at CVS next door a few $$ because he ISN'T pushy and come back to make our way finally into Vons our minds haven't changed in the 3 seconds since we said not interested and you watched us walk to him, walk back past you, walk to the cart, and as you kept watching us walk toward the door, still trying, NO we STILL don't want to stop what we're doing to talk to you. Seriously wtf...

I'm pretty sure God didn't say act like a flipping rude stalker and be pushy to get the word out. It won't work. People about to go pay $5 for a few eggs, don't want someone so pushy trying to force them to listen. I'm 35 years old, I have heard of God and church by now. Politics, religion, etc those are things people shouldn't be bullied into talking about to strangers unless they CHOOSE to. Unless they somehow make it known they want to, and if you ask once and they say NO respect it.

I don't mind talking about such things with people I know, but ugh that pissed me off.

Ok Brian will be out of shower soon... Off I go to my hot date with Mickey!
